Founders Landing

Founders Landing is a 29-acre parcel of land along the Lake Superior shoreline in the City of Marquette, formerly owned by the Wisconsin Central Ltd. Railroad and acquired by the  City  of Marquette in 2001 to foster private redevelopment and increased public access to the waterfront. The City, with the support of the State of Michigan and the federal government has invested over $11 million in demolition, environmental remediation, and public infrastructure on the Founders Landing property.
